With notable credentials including Diploma in Ayurveda, and certifications in Holistic Counseling & various bodywork & healing modalities, Amy has been a visionary spa professional for 15 years. She has served on the program advisory board of CCMT, (Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy), and worked with some of the most prestigious spa facilities in the country, including Norwich Inn & Spa, Norwich, CT, Maharishi Ayurvedic Health Center, Lancaster, MA, Greenbrier Healthy Living Spa & Greenbrier Sporting Club, White Sulphur Spring, WV. Specialties include Ayurveda, Abyhanga massage, Shirodhara, Hot Stone massage, developing customized holistic spa treatments, courses for groups & individuals, and of course Spa Energetics™ Programs. He has twenty years experience as a transformational facilitator and author, and is creating European centers in Denmark, Germany, Norway & Sweden. He is a dynamic and inspiring teacher/presenter, and an international leader in the world of integrated fitness! Specialties include Fitness training programs & products, iiYoga, and of course, Spa Energetics™ Programs. About Ayurvedic (Abyhanga) Massage
Distinguish yourself with a unique specialty— an ancient holistic modality.
“Ah-bee-yahn-gah” is an ancient traditional ayurvedic bodywork technique, with its origins in the vedic system, pre-dating the written word. “Aby” is a true classic and holistic specialty, usually only found in premier authentic vedic clinics, or 4-star destination spas.
The Aby is the basic technique from which other vedic treatments evolve, such as in a panckakarma program. Abyhanga not only provides your clients with an experience unlike any other, but also it is easier on the body of the practitioner than swedish massage or deep tissue work, reducing likelihood of injury and increasing career longevity; a unique addition to any type of healing or bodywork practice.
Aby technique is appropriate for adults of any age, pregnancy, and children of any age. It partners well with other modalities and spa services easily creating new day packages.
